FCX Announces Senior Notes Offering

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE: FCX) announced today that it intends to offer senior notes to the public in three tranches. FCX intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to redeem a portion of its outstanding 8.375% Senior Notes due 2017.
